The First few days in the hospital were rough for Sheryl, she was sick a lot of the time trying to recover from all that her body had just gone through. But Tyler was doing great! He was eating like a pro! He even slept in the nursery for several hours straight during the nights so Mommy could rest and heal. Grandma Jepson was the first to notice how calm and content Tyler seemed to be about his entrance into the world, and after that everyone seemed to say the same thing. He was not a fussy baby and we just felt his contentment whenever we held him. He was just happy to be here! When He first met Kara and Trevor, he was totally silent, listening intently to their voices. As they sat on either side of him on Grandpa's lap, Tyler turned his head from side to side as they spoke, trying to see them. (He did this when he was only a few hours old!) He recognized their voices as his brother and sister! It was amazing to see how alert and aware he seemed to be about everything that was going on! We love you Tyler!

Welcome Tyler Dallin Jepson
May 18th 2010
Tyler arrived at 11:25am weighing 7lbs 11oz and was 19.5iches long. My C-section was scheduled to start at 11:30am but when we got there they were running ahead of schedule so they were abe to start a little after 11am. Though I knew what to expect, I was still a bit nervous. I began feeling sick before they even started the surgery due to all the poking, prodding and meds they have to give me beforehand. During the C-Section I felt a lot of pressure on my left arm - we were told that was one of the doctors SITTING ON MY ARM so he could get at the right angle to push Tyler out! GEEZ! When he arrived they gave me a quick view of him over the blue curtain and then quickly got him out of the could operating room. At first, Tyler wasn't breathing well, so he spent a little over an hour in the Newborn ICU. Then he got his first checkup and bath, all before Mom got to hold him for the first time. Finally, 3 hours after his birth, they brought him to me! He was crying when they wheeled him in but calmed down as soon as he heard my voice! I love that! He loved me already and wanted to be with Mom after our first long separation!
Grandma and Grandpa Jepson arrived the day before to spend the nights with Kara and Trevor while Mommy and baby (and Daddy) were in the hospital! What a wonderful blessing! Big Thank you to them! Grandma and Grandpa Stout, Cousin Ashlee, Aunt Patti and of course Grandma and Grandpa Jepson with Kara and Trevor were some of our visitors who came to welcome Tyler to the family. Kara and Trevor were especially proud of their new baby brother!
