Tyler's First Few Days

May 18-21st 2010

The First few days in the hospital were rough for Sheryl, she was sick a lot of the time trying to recover from all that her body had just gone through. But Tyler was doing great! He was eating like a pro! He even slept in the nursery for several hours straight during the nights so Mommy could rest and heal. Grandma Jepson was the first to notice how calm and content Tyler seemed to be about his entrance into the world, and after that everyone seemed to say the same thing. He was not a fussy baby and we just felt his contentment whenever we held him. He was just happy to be here! When He first met Kara and Trevor, he was totally silent, listening intently to their voices. As they sat on either side of him on Grandpa's lap, Tyler turned his head from side to side as they spoke, trying to see them. (He did this when he was only a few hours old!) He recognized their voices as his brother and sister! It was amazing to see how alert and aware he seemed to be about everything that was going on! We love you Tyler!

Congratulations on your sweet baby boy. How crazy that he is almost a year old! I haven't seen your niece in forever -- she is all grown up and gorgeous. I haven't seen Kisha, either. Please tell her hi from me!

I'm so sorry you felt so sick! That stinks. And hello... He was sitting on you? Um.... What the what? How uh, respectful? It's not like your arms we're numb too. I know there isn't a lot of space around the table, but since when do doctors sit on their patients? Sorry I think that was in your other post :)
